Google continues to add new gadgets that enhance the experience of using Gmail, the well-known email service. Recently, a new gadget that developers have added in the ‘Labs’ preferences allows us to change the default font style of mail.

Until now, though you could change the font when composing email, but it does not change the default font style. So the old font style always comes back when composing a new message. Now, there is a new option to set the default font style of your choice.

To access the font option, activate the Default Text Style in the Labs section and then modify font style of your choice. This option is available in General tab of the preferences of Gmail. Frankly, this option has been long awaited by the users of Gmail.
